If you don't know already me and Willie spend a lot of time outside working on our yard. Willie is pretty much in charge of mowing and keeping the grass green. I try my hardest to keep the plants, bushes and flowers alive. I haven't always had very much success when it comes to all of the gardening stuff. I usually tend to over water or not water enough. Last year I planted 3 crape myrtle bushes and 1 rose bush. 2 of the crape myrtles did well but the other one was dug up by the dog. The rose bush is growing but has yet to produce a rose. Needless to say I am obviously not cut out to do this gardening stuff. But a couple of nights ago I noticed this pink/purple flowers growing next to the rose bush. They are so pretty and I am assuming that the people that lived here before we did planted them. I think willie had been cutting them down everytime they started growing up because we thought they were weeds. I am glad we hadn't cut them in while because they are very pretty and give some color to the yard. I have also figured out that they don't like water. I watered them one night and they are seemed to start dying so quit watering them and they are doing fine. Now I just have to make sure the dog doesn't eat them!
